Our Mission:
Mercy Road brings flourishing to the Central Florida area, improving the quality of life for those in need of mercy by extending the healing ministry of King Jesus.
Mercy Road aspires to fulfill the role of the “Good Samaritan” in our community (Luke 10:29-37 ). It has become our story – possible through the power and compassion of King Jesus.
Through the Good Samaritan story, we hear the radical call of Jesus to change the way we think about our time, talents and treasures… and to change our communities, one person at a time…in His Name!
At Mercy Road, our mission is to find people in need, meet people in their need, and connect them with the care they need through the redemptive power of Jesus Christ.
How We Got Here
The leadership of Northland Church has been faithful to preach the gospel and extend help to local communities. However, the challenges we face have become more complex resulting in an abundance of opportunities to provide the kind of help that makes a lasting difference.
To be more effective, Northland Church created an independent, 501(c)3 non-profit organization called Mercy Road. Since its inception, Mercy Road has taken on the role of expanding compassion ministries, delivering transformational help to vulnerable individuals and families in our community.
Little did we know how profound our impact would be!
The Mercy Road Difference
While remaining a partner of Northland Church, Mercy Road is committed to being financially and functionally independent. This gives those we serve the ability to benefit from pastoral care and healthy fellowship while also receiving vital support and services. But that’s not all!
Under Mercy Road, new initiatives can form and existing initiatives can grow and specialize according to the needs of our community. As a result, we have a growing number of highly effective programs headed by experts in their fields including: life skills and art classes for adults with varying exceptionalities job mentorship, budgeting classes, parenting classes, daycare assistance, senior citizen support and much more!
Broader Connection to the Community
Mercy Road is strategically positioned to connect to a wider range of donor resources, volunteers, medical professionals, counselors, local businesses, and community leaders. This creates avenues for broader participation to make a collective difference.
Not Just another Charity
Mercy Road is a faith-based program. We make it clear that the Gospel (John 3:16) is good news for us ALL!
We believe we are called to be neighbors that walk with neighbors on the same road that sustains us all. Come join us!
